International projects

European and international research is a strategic dimension for the University of  Florence and one of the priorities in the internationalization process.

The University has progressively been affirmed in the field of European and International research especially during the last decade, reaching the top of the ranking of Italian universities for the amount of funding obtained and the number of publications and of research grants.

The University is currently involved in all major funding provided by the European Union, first of all, Horizon 2020 launched in 2014, but also in the thematic programs Life, Justice, in the program for Erasmus + training and in the program for the dissemination of culture Creative Europe.

The Department of Environmental and Civil Engineering carries out an important research activity, also on international basis and it is present with several UNIFI active projects financed by the EU.
