Dean and Head
Dean and Head is an organ of the Department elected by the Department Council among full-time ordinary professors belonging to the Department itself, except for cases provided by law.
Dean and Head is appointed by decree of the Rector, lasts for four academic years and can be re-elected only once consecutively. Dean and Head may appoint, among the members of the Department Council, a Veice Director to assist and replace him in the event of absence or impediment.
In addition, he/she may delegate - even for a specified period – members of the Council or the Executive for particular tasks (excluding those in Article 2 of the Rules of the Departments), by notifying the Council in the first useful session.
